An Arizona resident since 2011, Dr. McBride is board certified in anatomic and clinical pathology by the American Board of Pathology with a sub-specialty certification in hematopathology. Dr. McBride completed his undergraduate at Transylvania University and MD from the University of Kentucky. Afterwards, he completed his residency at the University of Kentucky, with fellowship training in hematopathology and cytopathology at Indiana University.
Dr. McBride has been with Western & Pinnacle Pathology since 2011 and is an active member of the Honor Health medical staff, with contributing roles in numerous clinical conferences and network committees. He is currently a member of the American Society for Clinical Pathology, and the College of American Pathologists.
Dr. McBride has a wealth of experience in surgical pathology, breast pathology, cytology, gastrointestinal pathology, rapid on-site evaluation of fine needle aspiration, and specialized expertise in hematopathology and cytopathology. He has gained expertise in performing and interpreting fine needle aspirations and in interpreting bone marrow and lymph node biopsies. In addition, Dr. McBride has interpreted over 4000 specimens by flow cytometric analysis.
